With Connect AI, you can unify access to all of the cloud applications, databases, APIs, and services across an organization.

Key Features

  • Broad Data Connectivity: Connect AI allows you to transform data into a standard language that any reporting tool, analytics dashboard, or spreadsheet can understand. It can connect to a vast range of applications (including those for accounting, marketing, customer relationship management, and more) by using a consistent approach that is already supported by many data tools.
  • Real-Time Data Access: Connect AI gives you access to your data in real time, which creates an agile and flexible work environment that adapts and changes as quickly as your data does. This approach avoids the pitfalls of traditional Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes that rely on moving data to separate locations.
  • Create, Read, Update, Delete (CRUD) Support: Read and Write operations are supported. Operations are controlled by security settings that you can configure in Connect AI or in your data sources.
  • Secure Access: Administrators can create query users and define their access permissions for each data source individually.
  • Comprehensive Data Model & Dynamic Discovery: Connect AI provides comprehensive access to all of the data that is exposed in the underlying connections, including full access to dynamic data and searchable metadata.
  • Workspaces: Connect AI provides a sleek way to organize, catalog, and control access to specific data. You can bundle related data items separately in a scalable way with workspaces.

Get Started

Connect an AI agent to your data over MCP and ask it a question. You choose the data in Step 3: a public sample file that needs no credentials, or your own source.

Quick Start

Five minutes with the sample file, or 15 with your own source. Connect an agent, add a data source, and query it, then use the same connection from the REST and OData APIs and your BI tools.
After the quick start, these pages go deeper into each part of the workflow. Connect and query your data
  • Sources—Add and manage connections to your data sources, and find setup instructions for each one.
  • Data Explorer—Run SQL, build queries, and create derived views.
  • SQL Reference—Supported SQL syntax and code examples.
Use your data from AI agents
  • MCP—The MCP endpoint, authentication, and the full tool list.
  • AI Tools—Setup instructions for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot Studio, n8n, and more.
  • Toolkits—Limit an agent to only the tables and operations it needs.
Use your data from applications and BI tools
  • Integrations—Connect BI, ETL, and no-code tools.
  • API—Connect through the REST API, OData, and OpenAPI protocols.
  • Virtual Databases—Query Connect AI as a SQL Server endpoint.
Govern access
  • Workspaces—Group sources and derived views, and share them with teams.
  • Permissions—Grant access by need-to-know.
  • Data Security—Rate limits, IP allowlists, and audit logging.
  • Dashboard—Navigate Connect AI and monitor account activity.

Get Support

For assistance with using Connect AI, there are two main resources available:
  • The Status page, which shows the current status and incident history for the application services.
  • CData Technical Support, which you can also access by clicking the Support link at the bottom of the dashboard.
